March is certainly living up to its reputation for wild weather extremes, with trees blowing down onto power lines, 40 degree variations in temperature, and the geese coming back to the area.

The pool club has been busy in March as well. At our recent board meeting, we set the 2024 price for pool-owned memberships to $3000.

The club has two reverted memberships to sell, and we will hold a lottery in early April. If you are interested in purchasing a pool membership directly from the club for $3000.00, please pass along your contact information (name, e-mail, and telephone number) to our Pool Administrator (pool@greenbriar.org) no later than March 31, 2024. On April 2nd, we will assign bingo numbers to all participants, and then randomly draw numbers to determine the order of the participants. We will then reach out to the participants in order, giving them the option to purchase the membership or refuse the purchase. This process will repeat until both memberships are sold, at which point we’ll let any remaining participants know that the memberships are all sold. Purchasing a membership does not include the payment of the maintenance fee, which is set to $475.00 for the 2023 season and is due by April 15th. One note - we accept one "entry" per family unit (people related living at one address). This is not like buying 20 megamillions tickets to increase your chances of winning.

We don't anticipate any changes in pool rules for the 2024 season, but we will post reminders in May about some issues we've had in recent years that we hope to avoid this year.

The pool facility is coming to life - you'll see that all our umbrellas are up (the one "bare" umbrella WILL be covered before we open) and you'll see folks out working to replace some plumbing, upgrade our pumps and chlorine storage, and to drain and refill the pool. You'll also see our smaller diving board stand getting removed as we'll be putting in a new stand with a "bouncier" board before we open.

One final reminder - the maintenance fee (same price as last year) is due by April 15th, to avoid a late payment fee.

We will send out another "look ahead" notice in April, and several in May before we open on May 25th.
